DIY: Ombre' your old jewelry!

I don't know about you guys but sometimes I feel like I'm a hoarder :/ I keep tons of clothing, jewelry, shoes, and other accessories that I haven't worn in ages... seriously ages! But after surfer the net (aka YouTube) I found an awesome idea on how to transform your old jewelry into "new" jewelry! All you need is some: makeup sponges, nail polish, newspaper, and any old jewelry you want to transform! Here is how I did a ring and two necklaces! Have fun  <3
Also feel free to visit Andrea's channel on YouTube @ AndreasChoice to see where I got my inspiration!

#NastyGalsDoItBetter !!!!!

The amazing website Nasty Gal is holding their first Instagram contest (if you didn't know)! You have to spell out or do something where it says Nasty Gals Do It Better and display it somehow in a picture and post it to your Instagram with the hashtag #NastyGalsDoItBetter. The first things that came to mind were: high waisted distressed/embellished denim shorts, spike/studs, collars, and bright colors! I combined all of these aspects into one picture ! Here in my entry :) Hope you like <3 Olive

Spice up your fishtail!

So everyone knows that braids have been such a hit this spring and summer. The great thing about braids is that there are so many different styles. However, I'd have to say my favorite is the fishtail! I haven't really been getting sick of it, but I wanted to spice it up. I was watching videos from my favorite guru's on YouTube and found the perfect tutorial! If you haven't subscribed to LuxyHair, you are seriously missing out! These two sisters are beyond amazing at styling hair. After I saw this tutorial I had to try it, so I went to Michaels. They had some really inexpensive yarn, with plenty of colors! Here I picked a light purple, a light aqua blue, and a coral pink color; perfect for summer!  Here is my recreation and a link to the LuxyHair tutorial! Enjoy! <3 Olive

Summer Pastels :)

Hellooo! For my first blog I thought I would share some new pieces that I've recently purchased that are great for summer! As we all know pastels are HUGE right now and I personally cannot get enough of them! I've included pictures of 2 outfits that I would normally pair together :) (with some inspiration from beauty crush) Although, after I got the outfits together I realized they weren't very wallet friendly :( Sooooooo I also included links to similar items so that it'll be easier to re-create these looks! Hopefully this helped you get some ideas on what to buy if you haven't done much summer shopping or at least helped you think of things you could put together that you already own <3 Olive

The first outfit I really based everything off of the skirt. Other than completely loving mint green, I love really girly outfits. Soooo I decided to pair the skirt with a white tank and a lace top over it, an oatmeal-ish neutral colored long sleeve cardigan and a statement piece necklace.

The tank: any white tank will do :)

Other than mint green, I've been obsessed with light wash denim!! When I saw these high-waisted pants (whew and they are really high!) I fell in love. They are super stretchy but also very form fitting! Also while I was at American Apparel I picked up this sheer cami and navy blue bandeau to go under! There is a cute little bronzy gold button so I paired it with an "Aztec inspired" collar necklace and gold bangles!
